LILY LI
Founder & CEO
Hao (Lily) Li is an undergraduate student at Washington University in St. Louis (WashU). She is passionate about science and medicine and is deeply inspired by the power of education. Through her experiences, she has developed a strong interest in scientific research and expanding access to educational opportunities. She is dedicated to providing diverse students from around the world with the opportunity to engage in STEM fields. In this role, she will primarily be responsible for leading the team and ensuring a meaningful and enriching experience in Global Science & Medicine.

SANDHYA KONAR
COO
Sandhya Konar is a sophomore at Queens University of Charlotte interested in studying the intersections of medicine, education, health policy, and research. At GSM, as the COO and executive director, she channels her passion for education equity into creating programs that make mentorship, research, and leadership in science accessible to students from underrepresented backgrounds. She is motivated by the belief that meaningful change happens when education and medicine are designed with equity at the center.

Atharva Khatavkar
Medical Research Counselor
Atharva Khatavkar is a rising senior at Ardrey Kell High School in Charlotte, North Carolina, with a passion for neuroscience, medicine, and scientific research. After previously serving as a Global Science & Medicine research intern, where he authored a published article on combination cancer therapies, he is excited to return as a Medical Research Counselor. Atharva enjoys helping students transform their curiosity into meaningful research while making complex scientific ideas more approachable. Outside of GSM, he volunteers at Novant Health and Atrium Health, hosts FutureMed Connect, a podcast featuring healthcare professionals, and hopes to pursue a career as a neurosurgeon.
